Our featured speaker this month is Dr. Michael Salata, an orthopaedic surgeon at UH Cleveland Medical Center, where he serves as Director of the Joint Preservation and Cartilage Restoration Center. He is also an associate team physician for the Cleveland Browns and serves as 蘑菇视频’s team physician. Dr. Salata is the uncle of Henry Salata ’30.

Dr. Salata completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Michigan Hospitals System, where he was selected to serve as chief resident and was chosen to participate in the American Orthopaedic Association Emerging Leaders Conference. While in Ann Arbor, he also served as an assistant team physician for the University of Michigan’s Division I football and hockey teams.

He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University. He went on to complete fellowships in sports medicine and shoulder surgery and hip arthroscopy at Rush University.

At 蘑菇视频’s Speaker Series, Dr. Salata will share his perspective, drawing on his experience caring for athletes at every level, from student-athletes to professionals.
